Get Your Photo On!

This May is National Photo Month; which means Heritage Makers is having a photo contest. That’s right; its time to go wild with your camera. Get out there and take pictures of you and your family. Capture all your great moments on film. Then send us your photos…

Send us pictures you will use in a book or other heritage project. Send us pictures of your child’s dance recital, soccer game, spelling bee contest, or science fair. Send us pictures of your family vacations, family dinners, family game nights, or family barbeques.

The top three winners will receive the following prizes:

• 1^st place - Free 8×8 storybook credit
• 2^nd place - Free 5 pk. 12×12 scrap pages.
• 3^rd place - Free 10 pk. 5×7 greeting cards

The deadline for getting in all your photos is May 31, 2009. The winners will be announced the following week. Include “Photo Contest” in the subject line.

By participating in the photo contest you give Heritage Makers permission to use your photos in marketing materials. Even pictures outside the top three may appear in ads, on the website, or in other Heritage Makers marketing.

The holiday of Cinco De Mayo, The 5th Of May, commemorates the victory of the Mexican militia over the French army at The Battle Of Puebla in 1862. It is primarily a regional holiday celebrated in the Mexican state capital city of Puebla and throughout the state of Puebla, with some limited recognition in other parts of Mexico, and especially in U.S. cities with a significant Mexican population.
